“Is that what I am to you? A pet?” Tina spoke up from her pen.

“What? No. Oh please don’t you start as well,” I begged. “Can I just deal with one hormonal female at a time, please?”

“Your little fuck pet. That’s nice. The first man I let inside me and he has the manners of a pig.”

“I didn’t mean to call you a pet. It was a slip of the tongue…”

I blinked.

“What the fuck are you talking about?” Becky was looking at me as though I had completely lost the plot. I realised that - although Tina’s voice was in my head - everything else had been spoken out aloud. I tried not to show it but I’m sure she is right - I have lost the plot. At the very least, I am losing it - that’s for sure. What is wrong with me? “You’ve lost your fucking mind. You know that, right? You’re insane…”

I didn’t acknowledge what she had said, “You know you won’t look after her! Hell, given the chance, you’ll probably just feed her to the foxes just to get rid of her so you don’t have the responsibility anymore.”

“What the Hell are you talking about? I’ve raised two children! I’m sure I can look after a fucking turkey…”

“Two children? And what a brilliant job you did with them.”

“Fuck you!”

“No I mean it. They’re turning into real nice people. They’re a real pleasure to be around, everyone says so,” I hissed. I knew my words were bothering her. She hated it when people attacked her children. But then, she should be used to it by now. They’re bastards.
